Comic Book Artists Are Underrated.

Robot6, the blog over at Comic Book Resources, has an article up about how people understate the contribution of comic book pencilers.

Obviously they lend a huge part as comic books are completely visual (duh), but what the article focuses on is how people don't consider them to be apart of the creative process of the story.  Like they're just given directions and have no input.

For the article check it out here.

Scott Pilgrim In Colour!

Story/Design Notes.

A comic artist, Ben Caldwell, tested for Dreamworks a few years ago, he received notes about effective character design and visual storytelling techniques. He’s sharing those on his blog in a couple of posts, saying that while the pages were designed to help storyboard artists, “a lot of it is good, commonsense advice for graphic storytelling in general.”

Check out his blog here.

March MODOK Madness

If you don't know who MODOK is, you're not alone. He's a giant head from Marvel Comics who is really smart (if he wasn't then what would be the point?) and of course evil. There's a website www.marchmodokmadness.blogspot.com and every march they post any picture submitted that features MODOK. There are certainly less worth while sites so get some strange this March.
